About Us

Reid runs the farm full time and Nikki helps out from time to time when not leading volunteer groups in Acadia National Park. Growing up on opposite sides of the country(Reid in Georgia and Nikki in Oregon), we both developed a love for the outdoors and a passion for better land stewardship. We met when we were briefly in the Peace Corps in Panama. The pandemic sent us home before training was half way over, where we then separately worked on farms. Reid worked on a farm in Washington County, Maine before spending a winter in California to try to link up with Nikki. We then moved back to Maine together in the spring of 2021. Nikki joined the Friends of Acadia staff as Reid spent seasons working at Nettie Fox Farm, Frith Farm, and Beech Hill Farm.

We love our community here in Maine. Currently, we are renting land for Moon Beam Farm's inaugural season in 2024, and we intend to purchase land when the time feels right. Find us at the Farmer's Market or join our CSA. We'd love to be your friend.

Our long-term vision for the farm includes honing in on our favorite crops and shifting from CSA to wholesale alongside farmer's markets, establishing permanent annual beds and perennial garden space for pollinators and berries, and one day starting a farm-based nature preschool.
